Nothing makes me happier than having a student sigh with relief that his or her paper is done. English is a passion of mine and I believe that with experience and proper practice, English can be beloved to everyone. No one is bad at English! We just have to learn what we like and what we are good at.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing to do is ask how a student learns best. Do you learn through listening, speaking, example, etc.? Once we find the best way a student learns, we will move onto goal setting: what do we want to accomplish today and what do we want to accomplish overall.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an English major at Baylor University and I have been tutoring the athletes of Baylor since I was a sophomore.

Essay editing (under 3 pages) - $20 + $5 every page over 2.
Tutor time for one hour - $25
Reading separately and coming together for a session - $40 + tutor time ($25 per hour)

I have worked with mainly young adults, some of whom have learning disabilities.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who clicks with you! Not just on paper.

Know what you need help with/struggle with.
Know what your goals are or have some idea.
