About

My service stands out because I try my best to make my students feel comfortable and confident in their skills. While I do aim to build proficiency in math and help them know how to solve a problem, I also help my students gain a confidence in their own abilities. This confidence, I believe, is what helps them succeed as they no longer second guess that they know what they’re doing.

We are still working with this tutor, but I wanted to leave a review because she is amazing! We highly recommend her! She makes it fun for my high school junior who has never enjoyed math, so that is a huge win! She is definitely a natural in all things math, and is working magic with our son! I finally feel he can be successful in algebra 2 this year because she is bringing out his inner math strengths!

One of the best tutors I have ever worked with. I suffer severely from dyslexia, but she made sure I felt like I had a safe and fun learning environment the entire time. It didnt matter how much or little I knew about the subject. Best experience possible!

    Frequently asked questions

I generally try to talk to the student about what math topics they’ve struggled with in the past and then give them a few practice questions. Then I can assess where their problems are.

I worked as a math tutor at a Mathnasium franchise for two years and I was also top 1% of my high school. Now I'm a history major in the honors college at Baylor Universiry who teaches Pre-Calculus to the student athletes here.

Contact me with details, but my rate is generally $30 an hour.

I started free-lance teaching high school math about four years ago and then I worked as a tutor at a tutoring center three years ago. Now I tutor the student athletes at my university in math.

I’ve worked with a number of different students including children with dyslexia, ADHD, and those on the spectrum.

I would look for a teacher that makes you (or your student) confident in their ability to both teach you and help you develop the confidence and skills to be successful in math. By both teaching you the subject and helping instruct you on how to approach a new problem, a good teacher can give the skills to succeed even after they've stopped teaching you.

I think that a student should consider both what they hope to get from a session, progress wise, and who they feel they would be most comfortable learning from. Do they prefer a tutor that is similar in age and experience to their teacher? Or are they looking for a tutor that’s closer in age to them and would make them feel more at ease? Determining one’s comfort level when it comes to what they want from a tutor is important to have a successful session.
