About
I’m a mother of four and an Elementary educator with 20 years experience teaching ESL in grades kindergarten through fifth grade, and first and third grades as a general education classroom teacher. I earned my B.S. in interdisciplinary studies with a minor in English and an endorsement in ESL. My Master’s was completed at UNT in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Linguistics. I piloted the newcomer’s program in Plano ISD for language learners in third through fifth grade. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and are having fun! I’m highly structured to ensure my students move forward each time we meet! My goal is that every student looks forward to our learning time together and leave feeling successful and empowered! A part of a student’s success is related to collaboration between myself and parents!
