About
I believe that everyone learns in different ways which is why I avoid a one size fits all approach. Too often kids are forced to learn in a way that is ineffective and damaging; causing them to have a negative relationship with learing, have a low self esteem, higher rates of anxiety, and lower overall GPAs. I find that when you create an individualized lesson plan students not only have a better understanding of the subject but also begin to thrive and excel.
I enjoy helping students build a healthy relationship with learning.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before the first session begins I like to talk to the student and/or their parent(s) to learn about any areas that may needs some work prior to certain lessons. During my first session with a new student I like to have them take a test that goes over the topic they need help with throughly, once the session is over I give over the test results and build a lesson plan that will focus on the students areas of improvement. I will also take that quiz and create a file that is made to track the students improvement. (All files are deleted 1 week after our final session.)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am graduating high school a year early with a 3.733 GPA. My teachers often use me to help other students who are struggling and need extra help. I will be going to indiana university this upcoming fall to become a nurse.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Typically I do one of the following
1) $10/h + a $5 starting fee (The fee only has to be paid by the first session.)
2) $60 for 3 session 2 hours each (The $60 would be paid all at once)
I understand with the pandemic money is tight so i'm more than willing to negotiate pricing.
How did you get started teaching?
I have four younger cousins and five younger siblings ages 14 Years, 13Y, 9Y, 5Y, 5Y, 5Y, 2Y, 2Y and 11 months. I've tutored all of them at least once with the exception being the 2 year olds and 11 month old of course. I love teaching kids and helping them understand hard concepts.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher who understands your learning style and is willing to build a lesson plan made for your needs.
