Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I always have a conversation before we start the course to find out what their needs are and why they want to learn Spanish. I also try to assess the student´s personality, so I have a better idea of how to prepare personalized lessons according to their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
How did you get started teaching?
What types of students have you worked with?
During my 12 years of teaching, I have taught different types of students from a very young age to adults, and students with different backgrounds. This has been an amazing experience for me and as a result, I have made many good friends around the world
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I think students firstly need to check the teacher's experience, and also take the time to interact with the teacher and try to develop a rapport with that person.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why am I learning another language - eg. For a job, for my uni course, to travel? Because I like languages…..etc How many lessons each week can I commit to? How long will the course take? How many lessons can I afford ?
