Learning a language is about more than memorizing vocabulary—it’s about communicating with confidence. As a fluent Spanish speaker, reader, and writer with decades of professional bilingual experience, I help students develop practical language skills they can use in school, at work, while traveling, and in everyday life.

My bilingual expertise has been trusted in high-level professional settings. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was selected by Arlington County, Virginia, to serve as a bilingual Contact Tracer and Case Manager, working with legislative officials, their families, and members of the public. This role required exceptional communication skills, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to explain complex information accurately in both English and Spanish.

Throughout my career, I have served as an English-to-Spanish translator and bilingual professional across a variety of industries, including healthcare, public health, K–12 education, colleges, and human services. I have also worked with prospective foster parents, helping them navigate important processes through clear, culturally sensitive communication.

In addition to my bilingual experience, I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and have more than 25 years of experience in higher education, training, adult learning, and student success. My background allows me to adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, whether they are a beginner, an intermediate learner, or someone looking to strengthen conversational, academic, or professional Spanish.

Students appreciate my patient teaching style, encouraging approach, and ability to make learning comfortable and enjoyable. I believe mistakes are part of the learning process, and I strive to create a positive environment where every student feels confident asking questions and practicing their skills.
