When you learn I am happy, when you’re able to do better in classes, I’m happy, I enjoy making you better at what you’re doing. This is enjoyable for me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process is simple:
Get to know the student
Test student to understand their level of knowledge on the subject
Create a tutoring plan based on student’s needs and timeframe
Lay out expectations on both ends
Begin tutoring.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree in Neurobiology and 5 years of tutoring experience

Not standardized but pricing depends on he subject and timeframe of service.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started at college when I realized I learned more by teaching and I loved doing it to help other students in my class

I have worked with college student, students whose English is their second language, students with special needs, adults, children etc

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say that the best teachers are those who are patient and understand but at the same time challenges you. Look not only at their cost but the impact that they could have on your learning.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should ask themselves what is my end goal from this venture or what I’m i looking to accomplish doing a particular time frame.
