I am a retired certified teacher with extended experience in Reading & Writing instruction, phonics, grammar, and spelling. My certification qualifies me to teach 1st - 8th grade, but my expertise includes 1st - 5th grade.

I love working with children and have been doing so for the last 22 years. It is fun to see students "get it" - the sparkle in their eyes when they finally understand or master a task they have been struggling with. Reading and Writing can be very challenging at times, but I have many methods to help students in both of these subjects.

For students who may not be struggling and want to work on Reading or Writing, I am equipped for that as well. I am trained to work with gifted students as well.
