About
I'm not afraid to be weird and have fun with my students. I actively seek to find connections between the content my students are learning and my student's interests. Like soccer? Let's practice your passing while I teach. Like music? Let's listen and learn at the same time. Like dance? Well, I sure hope you can because I can't. :)
As my student, you are valuable to me. I'm not solely concerned with teaching you about reading; I care about who you are and the character you're developing.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to learn about YOU before I teach you. Once I know a few of your interests, we will find creative ways to learn at a high level WHILE having fun.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm currently a 6th grade English/Language Arts teacher in Wylie ISD. I have a Core Subjects 4-8 teaching certification for the state of Texas. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling from the University of North Texas.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't settle for a tutor that isn't engaging and fun.
