Tutoring In Abstract And Critical Thinking
About
"In every person there is a sun. Just let them shine." Socrates
How do we find that sun? We do it by exploring thought, by asking questions, by thinking deeper than the masses, by training our minds to see beyond that which is evident.
Philosophy is the art of critical thinking and a pathway to understanding the world and ourselves. This understanding opens the door to a comprehension of the psychology of the mind. It prepares one for the solving of the complexity of daily life, family, career, and society.
Since 2009, I have worked with individuals to help them understand the philosophy and psychology of their culture, of why they think as they do, and how to overcome sociological barriers that hinder their self-growth.
I have a MA in International Psychology (IP) with an additional 32 hours at the PhD level. IP is about human development and the effect of culture on behavior. I am a teacher, a philosopher, and fascinated with critical and abract thinking.
I have recieved a fellowship in Cutlrual Deversity and a grant in Pschology Scholars. I am availabel 8AM CST to 12AM for online tutoring or in-home for those who prefer in-person learning.

I think it is important to have that first interview before hiring a teacher. This gives both student and teacher an opportunity to see if they can work together, address the goals of the student, if a minor ensure the safety of the minor by meeting (on-line or at-home) the teacher. Personalities are important and real. A person/student learns best when the connection is good.
