My top priority for my students is creating their best learning environment for English and Writing. I want to address the root of their concerns in any given assignment or for the subject as a whole and guide them to not only succeed in the classroom, but outside of it as well. If you need a tutor who respects a student's individuality while also giving them the educational assistance they need, I'm your person!
I genuinely want others to succeed and to love literature and writing just as much as I do! I studied these subjects because they teach valuable lifeskills such as communication, critical thinking, and creativity. I'd love to share these skills with you and help you succeed both in and out of the classroom.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. The first thing I like to do with new students is adress exactly what their struggling with in regards to an assignment or subject overall. Are the assignment expectations unclear to them? Do they struggle with spelling or grammar? Does the idea of crafting a personal narrative intimidate them?
2. Once the root of the issue is established, I want to create concrete goals for my students. Depending on your student's age, I like to encourage them to determine these goals for themselves. We'll find out together if these goals are short term or long term.
3. From there, we tackle the goals head on with a tailored action plan. My top priority for all my students is that they truly learn what they're taught in class by taking an active role in their education. I'm always here to help but the goal is that they will eventually not need me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing with a concentration in Nonfiction. Nonfiction allowed me to perfect my essay writing and develop flexible writing styles that range from expository/informational to personal narratives.
