About

I was a student until 2022, so I am able to relate very well to any student I teach! I have a commitment to every student I teach as well, promising to be patient and understanding of any difficulties regarding the subject, and doing my absolute best to explain concepts that fits their learning style best.

I love being able to see a concept "click" for a student, and I personally find that the most rewarding part of the job. I also have a love for knowledge and for teaching, but especially for students.

Frequently asked questions

My typical process is first understanding what their learning style is so they can best understand any concepts. I also would like to know what their schedule looks like regarding assignments and exams so that I can best work with them in a timely manner. Finally, setting up scheduled sessions and taking note on what needs to be covered in each session.

I have a bachelors degree of science in healthcare studies that I graduated with in 2022, and have consistently earned straight As for the majority of my life. I have advanced knowledge in chemistry, biology, and mathematical subjects as I was on the pre-medical track. My time at university has also taught me important time-management and study skills that I believe are valuable to all aspects of tutoring.

Pricing is negotiable, however standard pricing for science or mathematical related subjects is $35/hr, while pricing for non-science or math related subjects is $25/hr. If the subject being taught is at the college level, the pricing will be an extra $10/hr

Throughout high school and college, I have helped other classmates understand the concepts we were learning in class, and recently I have taken on several students in my Biochemistry class, providing review sessions and tutoring free of charge for our upcoming exams. It was here that I found my niche for teaching.

I've mainly worked with undergraduate students, but am more than capable working with high school or elementary students.

Definitely look for a teacher that caters to your learning style! Some students are visual learners, others are hands on, so make sure that your teacher can adapt to whatever fits best for you.

Consider what strengths and weaknesses you are experiencing, with weaknesses counting as a concept that hasn't really "clicked" yet. Once you identify those, we can work together on strengthening those weaknesses and solidifying those strengths!
