I am an aspiring high school science teacher who is currently a senior at UTD majoring in Biology. My passion is teaching and passing on the opportunities provided to me to the next generation. I have done various tutoring sessions with a wide variety of ages and skill levels. I am certified in Science 7-12 and can teach in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Environmental Science AP, Honors, or on-level.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
MY typical process when working with a new student is, firstly, to asses prior knowledge. Once I have determined what the student knows, we can begin to dive into the material, clear up any misconceptions, and identify strengths and weaknesses.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed the UTEACH program at UTD, which has given me field experience at and elementary school, middle school, and high school and allowed me to teach some lessons I had made at those locations. I have also completed my TExES certification exams in Science 7-12.

Generally around $35 an hour
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching through a youth program which I worked at and fell in love with the craft and am making it my profession.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students in grade ranges of 7-12 in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in both AP and on-level courses.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently got engaged on a vacation to Colorado.
