My experience speaks for the services I provide. I have worked with students at the elementary level for over 20 years and students in the middle school level for 3yrs. In between I have been, a 1st grade teacher, a reading literacy coach, an instructional facilitator and an administrator. I’m available to tutor after 6pm Monday-Thursday in person or virtual and/or Sunday (virtual only). I do recommend in person at least once every other week. (My daughter is in band so Friday and Saturday are busy days.)

Reading has always been my passion and expertise. I graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville with a bachelor in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Bilingual and Reading, grades 1-8 at the age of 21. I earned a masters in Educational Administration with a Principal Certification at the age of 25. My favorite subject to teach has always been reading. My preferred teaching method is phonics through the Madeline Hunter lesson cycle. I've gained a tremendous amount of training through out my years in education. I've trained teachers on how to teach reading but the most rewarding has always been teaching kids how to read, the meaning behind it and the love for it.
