About
I came to Executive Functioning coaching after a career as a special education teacher and principal. Lyme disease changed my career trajectory, and I'm quite grateful as I love what I do know. More than a tutor- coaching offers mentorship, and support growing a strong sense of self in the world while supporting all 8 of our executive functions exactly when they are supposed to develop- adolescence.
In addition to coaching, I'm also a certified special education and 504 advocate and offer these services to clients as well.
I love how impactful teen coaching is. So much so, that I'm partnering with schools to help develop programming in schools.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Head to my website www.aura-edcoach.org and click contact. From there, you can sign up for an inquiry call where we can discuss the process and design interventions to help support your teen.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelors in elementary and special education and a masters in educational administration. I've put these degrees to work with over 15 years in schools as a special educaction teacher, behavior specialist, special educaction department chair, assistant principal, and principal of a pre-k through 8th private school. In addition, I'm a certified life coach from IPEC, one of the top programs globally. The blend of these two disciplines is what AURA is all about.
