Chu’s Tutoring
About
I love to teach other students and help them with pursuing something they're passionate in. I've been a straight A student ever since I can remember and have always had a love for English Literature itself, and Math and Science.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I figure out what they are struggling with the most, and then something that they need a little help on. Then, I start working our way up with the basic things they have questions on, and work our way up to the main thing they are struggling with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm currently a Junior High School student who is pursuing a career in Medical Science and/or English Literature.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Usually, I charge $15-$20 per hour, but I'm completely open with trying new prices that work for the family/student.
How did you get started teaching?
I have a little sister who does need a little extra push when it comes to writing and English Literature itself. Therefore, I started teaching and helping her out, and found a love for it.
What types of students have you worked with?
Usually you get students such as, starting from 2nd grade all the way to 5th.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm very fond of fundraising events such as the CF Foundation runs that help raise money to find a cure for a rare genetic disease, named Cystic Fibrosis.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that you click with. If you can't connect with the teacher then it is way harder to learn what they are trying to teach you, and make sure they do a way of learning that works for you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Definitely try to figure out some study methods that work for you. If something doesn't work for you and it's the main method a teacher does, then definitely talk through it with your teacher.
