What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Warm welcome. Build a positive rapport with the student. Discuss the immediate needs, materials, and plans to become successful. Many times I will do an assessment or jump right in with the assignments. I use interactive communication and activities.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters in Education and a background in psychology, I have taught in all grade levels including secondary and adult education. I have worked one on one, small groups, and large classroom sizes. My expertise is in English, Spanish, Reading, Literature, and Writing. My student relationship is positive, encouraging, fun and successful.
