Reagan's Math And Science Tutoring
About
I love kids and I love teaching. I tutored all through college at both the collegiate and primary/secondary school level. I think about things in a lot of different ways so I can break things down to all levels using a variety of methods and analogies. I come from a long line of great teachers. After graduating and getting a job, I really just miss teaching and helping others. I would love to help you or your child reach their full potential.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Determine the specific skill set they are trying to gain, then assess their current level by working through problems that start simple and increase in difficulty to idenitfy areas for improvement and to get a sense for the student's individual learning style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a tutor for three years at the collegiate and primary/secondary level. I also just love teaching.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 per hour
How did you get started teaching?
I have a real helper's heart so I have always loved teaching and helping others, but I first began tutoring professionally for the athletics department at Texas A&M University while I was a student there. Tutoring athletes was great, but I quickly transitioned to freelancing my skills for the increased freedom of scheduling and pricing.
What types of students have you worked with?
Collegiate athletes, other college students, and students ranging from third through tenth grade.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The "click" moment in a student's eyes when they acquire a new skill. I also loved when my regular students would come back to me with awesome test scores for an exam they were really worried about.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Your learning style is important. Teaching and learning is NOT one size fits all. Find someone that either learns the same way you do, OR knows how to take your learning style into account when going through lessons.
