Phoebe’s Tutoring Services
About
I am a college sophomore who is currently studying Psychology. Before graduating high school, I was an AP, UT On Ramps, and dual enrollment student. (Ask me about tutoring for advanced students!) My senior year, I was a peer tutor for students struggling to pass the Biology STAAR and a peer tutor for choir students ranging from high school JV to Varsity. Lastly, I am currently a part-time AVID and AVID Excel tutor in a junior high, and I am familiar with all junior high subjects including working with ESL students. Please feel free to message or email with any questions!
It brings me an immense amount of joy to help your students succeed. I believe that the time spent outside of the classroom is crucial to the success of students and it is important to have someone hold students accountable.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It's important to note that as someone who is not a certified teacher, I do not have a set curriculum for subjects. This makes it easier for me to cater my sessions based on what your student needs. Sessions consist of students bringing work to review, and from there, I can assess what practice materials to bring to future sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As listed in my profile, I was a peer tutor my senior year of high school for students struggling to pass the Biology STAAR as well as students in choir ranging from JV to Varsitg. As of this year, I am an AVID and AVID Excel tutor for junior high students for all subjects including ESL education.
