I am a certified special education teacher with eight years of experience. I currently hold a Bachelor's degree from Texas Tech and a Master’s degree in Education Administration from University of Phoenix. I have a special education certification for grades EC-12. I also have Core Subjects EC-6 and Generalist 4-8 which certifies me to teach ELA, reading, math, science and social studies for grades EC-6 and 4-8.
I have experience teaching elementary, junior high and high school both general education and special education. I have experience as a behavior specialist and currently hold a position as a special education instructional coach.
I believe that every student has the ability to learn it's just a matter of having the patience to understand how to teach to that child's strengths.
I enjoy seeing my students make progress and discover a love for learning.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My educational background supports my work in special education. In addition to having a special education certification, I have also had extensive training with my current school district. I have been trained in ABA behavior strategies within Pasadena ISD and through the University of Houston.

My standard price is $40 per hour. This price can be adjusted based on financial needs.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of students. My first year teaching, I worked with students with mild to moderate learning and intellectual disabilities. These students received special education services in the general education classroom.
At the high school level, I taught students in a self-contained special education (life skills) program. I taught the vocation class in which students worked on their job skills and prepped for being in the workforce after high school.
Currenly, I teach in a self-contained special education classroom that is highly structured for students identified with autism. My students range from high to low in functional abilities.
