While obtaining a bachelor's of science degree in molecular biology, I worked as a supplemental instructor at the collegiate level. In this role, I gained lots of experience, in addition to formal training. I have experience with tutoring in math, chemistry, and biology. I thoroughly enjoy helping students through subjects that are challenging and guiding them so they can succeed. I am a patient, encouraging, and devoted mentor to students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before jumping into the lesson material, I like to get to know students a little first. I enjoy doing icebreakers and other tactics to help them feel more relaxed before beginning.

I worked as a supplemental instructor at the collegiate level. I was trained to be an instructor. I also have a bachelor's degree in molecular biology with a minor in chemistry. I have also tutored students in algebra.

I like to talk to my students for a short period at the beginning. Afterwards, I usually transition to a short review of the last lesson.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students who are both struggling in subjects, as well as students who are excelling. I have worked with students who become easily frustrated. And I have worked with students who don't listen well.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for a teacher, I think it is important that the teacher has he knowledge as well as the desire, passion, and patience to teach.
