Hello! My name is Miss Dorsey, and I am an experienced educator entering my ninth year of teaching. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching Pre-K and grades 3–6, with a strong focus and passion for mathematics and science. I also hold a Master's degree in Educational Administration, which has strengthened my ability to develop effective instructional strategies and support student success.

My goal as a tutor is to do more than help students find the correct answer—I help them understand how to think through problems. I challenge my students to do their very best by building critical thinking skills, strengthening problem-solving strategies, and developing the confidence they need to succeed independently. Together, we'll break down complex concepts into manageable steps so you can approach every challenge with confidence.

I believe that education is one of the greatest gifts a person can receive because knowledge is something no one can ever take away from you. One of the most rewarding parts of my career is watching students grow academically and personally while making a lasting, positive impact on their lives. Many of my former students and tutoring clients have stayed in touch throughout high school and even into college, allowing me to continue encouraging and supporting them as they pursue their educational goals.

Throughout my teaching career, I have been recognized by multiple schools and districts for driving student academic growth, providing effective interventions, and closing learning gaps. I have also been recognized as a teacher by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and have earned a Proficient II teacher rating in Houston ISD (HISD).
