After 30 years in media production, I changed careers and became a classroom teacher through an alternative certification program in Texas. I hold these certifications currently: Generalist 4-8, Social Studies 8-12, Journalism 7-12, and ESL Supplemental 4-12. I recently retired from the classroom, but want to continue my ties to education. The bulk of my classroom experience is with students that have learning differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive functioning difficulties. I have specialized in working with students on an individual basis and delivering instructions based on their learning styles.

I have taught math for 12 years. I have taught from 5th grade math all the way up to advanced algebra 2. I love to help and can do online tutoring or face to face.

The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! On a more personal level, I am a friendly, outdoorsy, athletic, and talkative type of person! I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in STEM subjects through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. I studied Economics at the University of St. Andrews and have been tutoring for 2 years. At SoFlo, we realize that Math and Science tend to
