I enjoy watching my students succeed. When a child gets excited over them finally achieving something they struggled with, really makes me happy.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First of all, getting to know a student is really important. Establishing a great tutor/student relationship is one of the first things one should do. After, get to know what the student is struggling with. Once we are past that, I am able to seek ways to help them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, which focuses on elementary teaching. With that in mind, my focus was bilingual education. Apart, I am certified by the state of Texas to teach EC-6 students.

How did you get started teaching?
I have always wanted to be a teacher. Once I graduated from university, I started substitute teaching which really helped me. Apart, ive always tutored my younger siblings, neighbors, and cousins.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have mainly worked with one on one with 1-3 grade bilingual children, but i have experience helping PK-8 grade students.
