I love seeing my students gain confidence and being successful in chemistry. I have taught AP Chemistry and PreAP Chemistry in high school. I have taught General Chemistry in college. I have tutored MCATand PCAT Chemistry, organic chemistry and biochemistry. I have an education certification for high school and am MS in Chemistry.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to gauge their level of understanding regarding the class they require help with. I ask them to share a syllabus and work they have to complete. Ihelp them complete assignments that are due and prepare them for quizzes or tests by arranging tutoring sessions they can record and refer back to.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an education certification to teach her gh school chemistry. I have taught preAP and AP Chemistry. I have an MS in Chemistry and have taught General Chemistry at South Texas College. I have tutored MCAT and PCAT Chemistry.

I charge $50/hour for General Chemistry and below.
$80/hour for Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. MCAT and PCAT Chemistry

I love Mole Day which is a day to share exciting chemistry experiments with students of all ages.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a patient, reliable, experienced and accredited teacher that can make time for you (flexible schedule) so that your schedule needs are met
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be honest about level of understanding. Tell your teacher how and why you may be struggling.
