Jacob Kortenhoeven

I have experience teaching and working with students of all ages. I am finishing my second year full time teaching 8th grade, and while receiving my master's I student taught in both middle and high school. I tutored writing throughout college and spent last summer tutoring elementary and middle at Sylvan.

In all I do I strive to be consistent, honest, and hard working. In my current teaching position, I am devoted to creating a safe, welcoming, productive environment for all students to learn. My goal in tutoring is the same - that your student would be able to truly grow in a positive, focused learning environment.

I am flexible for whatever your student needs - whether that looks like creating a personalized curriculum for their needs, help with homework or preparing for the STAAR, or teaching fundamental skills to build upon.
