Learn Spanish With Me
About
I was born and raised in Venezuela, so spanish is my native language. My method of teaching depends on the level of my students, so we can accommodate my clients needs and aspirations. I teach only adults over 25 years of age whose level is intermediate or advanced. I will give a free trial class in order for the future student to get to know me and get the feel of how future classes will look like. Also, this free class allows me to ascertain the level you are at. Let ́s do it!
Habla español conmigo...
In this line of work you get to know people from all over the world. You get to know their stories and they get to know yours. Students will practice and learn in a very practical manner, which is talking about themselves, asking about you, your culture, your country, your work, your family and friends, etc.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Have a free class to be able to determine the level of proficiency of the student, as well as his needs and goals. Once we establish these ground rules, we, the two of us will plan ahead. This way, we can dedicate all of our time on teaching and learning all that the student wants, and not only what the teacher decides is best.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Besides my own businesses in Venezuela, I gave private classes to many non-Spanish speaking executives, especially on the hospitality business many of whose hotels I consulted for during a long span of approximately 20 years. As the saying goes, "practice makes perfect".
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My regular prices are as follows:
Single class: $ 25
5 class pack: $ 20 each
10 class pack: $ 16 each
How did you get started teaching?
As I stated earlier, being a consultant to the hospitality industry in Venezuela, I had to deal with many top rank hotel operators who did not speak Spanish and were eager to learn in order to be able to better conduct themselves not only in Venezuela, but in all the Latin American countries in which their respective companies had hotel operations. I was hired to help these executives with this issue, quite successfully.
What types of students have you worked with?
My student profile has always been executives over the age of 25 years old. I find these students to be more focused and driven, but after meeting with my prospect student we can assess what his or her goals are
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have been a legal resident in the US for almost three years. Since I arrived I have almost exclusively worked as a Rideshare Driver with Uber and Lyft. The fact that I am 69 years old and have the stamina, the will and the determination to hold my own and now to retake my Spanish classes given the severe restrictions imposed by the coronavirus on everyone, I am fond and proud of moving ahead
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say: give the free lesson a try; you have nothing to lose and you will start moving towards your goal of learning and perfecting your level of Spanish. I take you wherever you want to go in that regard
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Above all: what do I want to learn Spanish for?
What do I aim to achieve by learning or perfecting my level of Spanish? Is it a job promotion that requires you to be bilingual English-Spanish? Is it for online dating, for general culture o to be able to introduce Spanish to your children, etc.
