Learning With Katia

Hi everyone! My name is Katia Ramírez and I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in English. I grew up learning both English and Spanish, so I am fluent in speaking, writing, and reading for both languages! I have worked with students K-8 in subjects such as Math, English, History, and Spanish for a year now! I’ve worked with students that are in public school, private school, and that are homeschooled! I will always take the time to ensure that the student is not memorizing information, but actually understanding and retaining the information. When I have students over long periods of time, I will always make sure that they understand what we studied and learned at our last session. Every student is different, so I take the time to understand what the best way is to help them learn. I am extremely patient, positive, and always kind. What I love most about tutoring is making students feel empowered and confident in the knowledge that they are learning. At the end of the day, my number one goal is to help them find the best way to study and learn that works for them. By doing this, they will be able to use these skills in other subjects, and when I no longer tutor them. I am extremely flexible and will ALWAYS take the time to ensure my students are not only learning their subject, but also learning how to be a better learner both in and out of the classroom. I am always open to parent feedback and will provide quick responses to ensure that you and your child are satisfied with my tutoring services.
