About

I have a passion for learning, teaching, and everything science. If I could be a student for the rest of my life, just absorbing everything I can, I would. But I rather enjoy teaching the next generation of scientists. Science can be very difficult when you don't understand what's going on. I'm here to help with understanding concepts, so students can enjoy the fascinating aspects of science without the difficulty of being behind. Who knows what you'll discover when it actually makes sense!

I teach for understanding and make sure that my students know how to take useful and effective notes, study and review effectively, and know how to manage their time to best improve not only their grades but their lifestyle as a student in general. I believe that you need to try your best to sleep well and have fun just as much as you need to try your best in class.

I have my undergraduate degree in Marine Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Texas A&M University at Galveston. I tutored organic chemistry for most of my college career and went into teaching Anatomy, Earth Science, Life Science, Biology, and Marine Biology after I graduated. All in all I have been tutoring for a total of about four years at college level, and have taught middle and high school for one year.

Frequently asked questions

I like to begin by talking to a student about their view of where they are at, what they believe they are struggling with and need help with, as well as review with them to see their process of critical thinking and recalling information. My first session is usually spent assessing where the student is at, what concepts they are stuck on, their thinking process, and their study habits.
