About
I am a lifelong student and I want to help you be one too! Something the school system almost never does is teach you how to learn, how to think in logical & philosophical ways, and how to see the connections between every subject.
Whether you're going to college, or your child is going into the first grade, I want to ensure that learning is an enjoyable experience.
I enjoy seeing the faces of students when they finally have the eureka moment! To work with them and see their progress as learners is one of the most rewarding feelings I can get.
I also enjoy getting to know others and their interests, and helping to merge enjoyable experiences with learning ones.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will usually refamiliarize myself with the subject the student is struggling with. While I am doing that I will look for pre-requisite material that will help the student get a better handle on the concepts that lead to improvement in what they are struggling with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree, as well as teacher training from Texas Teachers of Tomorrow. I finished all of my coursework for the Teachers program, however I am not a certified teacher, as I have not completed my first year of classroom teaching yet.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I do grant free hours based on performance, attitude, and how long you've been working with me.
Please let me know if you require tutoring at a discounted rate due to economic hardship. I am happy to work with you to make your learning affordable.
How did you get started teaching?
Two of my close friends were educators, which made me inspired to try teaching.
One was an elementary grade teacher who is fantastic with her kiddos; allowing flexible seating, creating an engaging environment, and working with them one-on-one.
The other is a Behavior Aide with her Masters, she works with Autistic students and those with other behavior issues.
Seeing them do so much to help their students filled my heart and made me want to become an educator too.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and education levels.
I taught as a teacher for students in Kindergarten through 7th Grade. I also was a tutor for Highschool and College Students. I have even helped tutor a Master's student for their Board Certifications.
