Deep Understanding Learning

I've been privately tutoring since my teachers first requested I do so in eighth grade. This has only ever continued since and has led me to privately tutor through high school and college, and led me to serve as a TA and college grader. After graduating from UNT with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, I taught biology, chemistry, and forensic science as a certified teacher for 3 years. In that short time, I was awarded a notice of excellence following my first year (1 of 6 at my school), helped 98.4% of my students pass the Biology STAAR (compared to 78%), and created an intra-city arson activity. I am intimately aware of learning gaps and adapting so students can overcome them. If your student is struggling to grasp basic science concepts, I can help them find the root cause of their confusion, build bridges to understanding, and help them reach their goals.
