Nilcaris (Nil) Shea

I have been in education for 5 years. I am certified to teach special education EC-12 and general education EC-6. I have enjoyed being able to use my skills of scaffolding and modifying curriculum to help fill in the academic and instructional gaps of special education and general education students alike so they can succeed. I really enjoy being able to help students find their specific way of learning a skill and watching them get their 'aha' moment. I use a wide range of resources to help students understand material that they may be struggling with; anywhere from flashcards, games, videos and manipulatives among others depending on their specific needs. I have worked with a variety of students with disabilities from down syndrome, Autism and general education students and I pride myself in being able to find ways to help them master and learn new skills in a variety of ways. Every student is different and unique, their education should reflect that. I am here to help your student feel confident in their studies.
