The most significant way I stand out is my spanish experience and background. The combination of classroom and real-life experience is hard to find. Living in another country where I spoke the language 24/7 is more valuable than anything else. Then add to that the many years of classroom in both High School and University. I speak spanish daily and travel to a variety of countries for work.
Learning a language can be challenging and frustrating but is an extremely valuable and rewarding skill. My life has been blessed in so many ways because of ability to speak spanish and I love being a part of that in the life of another.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically with a quick introduction and review of the students goals via phone call, video chat, or in person, we can develop a simple and effective plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began by taking 3 years of Spanish in High School followed by 15 credits in College. From 2009-2011 I lived in Honduras where I was fully immersed in Spanish 24/7. There is no better classroom than living and breathing in Spanish. I now own an international business where I sell products into Mexico and Central America. I speak Spanish on a daily basis for work.

My rate ranges between $30 and $50 per hour depending on level of Spanish and needs of the student.
How did you get started teaching?
While still living in Honduras, I often taught English classes to spanish speakers. I know how valuable and difficult learning a new language can be and I love helping people meet their goals. After returning home, I continued to mentor and tutor those looking to improve their skills.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from Junior High through High School as well as adults looking to learn Spanish.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There is a big difference between someone who learned a language in a classroom and someone who has been fully immersed in the language and culture. Finding someone with experience in both will lead to better results and higher comprehension of the material.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is my overall goal and what do I want to accomplish from this? Am I simply looking to pass a class or do I want to learn the language to the best of my ailities.
How important is this subject to me? Is it worth paying an expert for help?
How will advancing my skills in this area help me in my education and/or future career.
