What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we confirm the goals and timelines for our sessions. I will ask to see some of the student's most recent work. We discuss the student's knowledge and concerns. From there we develop a tentative schedule. Then off we go!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started tutoring while I was a teenager. I have 20 years of experience teaching adult learners and 5 years teaching math, English, and special education. I received my Bachelors degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. I earned my teaching credentials from the State of Louisiana Department of Education. Throughout my career I always spent time tutoring and helping learners reach their goals.
