Science And English Tutoring
About
Biology, whether you realize it or not, is one of the most crucial subjects you'll learn in school. Over a thousand students from every walk of life have walked through my door-- from young learners to adults, in one-on-one tutoring sessions to classroom and inclusion settings. The majority of my students, however, are high school freshmen and I am proud to say that many either have pursued interests in biology and related fields and/or continue to communicate to me their findings of biological discoveries/information (and of course the occasional relevant meme).
Overall, my students have a passing rate of 99% on state assessments for biology-- and honestly, I would attribute that success to their recognition of the importance of biology and their understanding of its application to their world-- because biology is more than just a test and I'm just a guide on the side.
But if you need more specs: I am highly qualified with seven years experience in teaching and tutoring. I have worked independently, in Texas public schools, charter schools, programs abroad, and after-school programs. The most recent teaching positions I have held have been in the DFW area and southeast Texas. I hold certifications in the following: Life Science (7-12), Composite Science (8-12), and English as a Second Language (supplemental).
