A recently turned college sophomore, who is also an ex-A Levels student, I have had over a year experience with tutoring British Curriculum material since it is fresh off my mind. My strategy is to get to know the students individually, with what they want to attain as their end goal, hence catering a unique experience for each of them.

Since I also used to struggle with understanding coursework being taught to me as it wasn't individually catered to my style of learning, therefore I had to work extra hard to grasp the coursework hence teaching myself and knowing the importance of catering the material for the understanding of someone else.

My methodology is to first understand the individual receiving the tutoring service, further discussing their parents' expectations, and drafting a comprehensive experience, one which satisfies everyone. The goal for me is to make the individual understand the concept being taught rather than for the easy solution of learning it for the sake of getting good grades, since if there isn't a proper foundation, there won't be a successful outcome.
