Creative And Understanding ESL Tutor

I'm Tienne. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Management from UofH. I have an advanced 120 hour ESL certificate from OnTESOL. I use lesson plans and interesting materials, like movie clips or reading selections from books, in order to make the lesson fun. I don't have any experience tutoring, as I am just starting out on my new tutoring career.

I value patience and understanding, and consider myself to be a nurturing person. I believe you don't have to 'get it right the first time,' because learning English is a process. I want to make our learning space safe and inviting, and I believe mistakes are opportunities.

I value curiosity, and I want you to feel safe asking me questions if there's something you don't understand. I believe you know what you're talking about, even if you can't quite put it in words. I believe you have a lot to teach me.

I enjoy integrating other subjects into my lessons. My natural inclination is to use things I'm interested in on my own time, like Philosophy and Psychology, but I also want to use materials you're interested in. I want you to be able to be yourself, so please, if you have a movie or book in mind, I would love to use it.
