About

I love educating children! My first job as an educator was a preschool teacher in a licensed center in a "low income neighborhood", I am skilled to work with children up to 8th grade. As a life long learner myself, I am one semester shy of obtaining an Early Childhood Education degree! I've had the pleasure of working with children from all walks of life, learning delays and/ or (dis)abilites, and social anxieties. Teaching is only part of the job, loving and caring for my students is the most important aspect of this career!

Empowering children through education is my teaching approach!

I enjoy seeing a child's face light up when they have conquered something difficult. I enjoy introducing new subjects or reviewing often forgotten subjects. I enjoy educating children. It is my mission to empower children through education. Education is something that no one can ever take away! I try to have as much fun as possible while I'm teaching because why not? Children retain information better when they are enjoying themselves. I love educating!

Frequently asked questions

My typical process for working with new students is first, gathering their most recent work or practices to identify areas where services are necessary, getting to know the students' learning style, study habits, and getting familiar with the student essentially making them more comfortable in our sessions.

In addition to teaching preschool, I am one semester short of earning my Early Childhood Education degree! As I am completing my courses, I apply my schoolwork to my career work in real time. I self-educate/ train throughout the year taking librabry courses or attending credited training workshops.

I grew weary of the food and beverage industry so I quit and applied for a teacher position at new child care center opening. It was extremely difficult at first, given that I had no professional training, but my children inspired and motivated me to become better and learn everything I needed to learn to give them the best possible learning experience while in my care!

As a preschool teacher, I am trained to work with babies (six weeks old) through "after-schoolers," children attending elementary school. However, I do tutor middle schoolers as well.

I have experience with children with delayed learning disabilites, A.D.H.D. (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder), P.T.S.D (post traumatic stress disorder), abusive homelife, nonverbal students, spanish speaking, and behavioral challeneged students.

I don't have just one recent I am fond of, I love nothing more than to see children understand or discover something they've worked so diligently on to complete. Seeing a child overcome a concept that was once challenging to them or witness a child gain confidence in a subject they once dreded, fufills me as an educator. I am fond to see children progress and become life-long learners!

Find an educator who adjusts their lessons to suit or match you. Someone who takes in account your learning abilities, study habits, and the difficulties you face personally.
