A-Z Tutoring
About
I would have to say that the most appealing aspect of this job to me is the connections I get to make with people. Furthermore, I love learning and sharing knowledge with other people, especially those who need it. Finally, what makes me stand out from many tutors is my commitment. If you need a specific grade for a class, I will be there for you until you get your desired grade. I can guarantee that you will always get your money's worth with me.
Honestly, I love learning all of the time, pretty much no matter what. More importantly, though, I love helping people. If there are people out there that think I could be of help to them, I am more than willing to help. While helping people is of a great deal of importance to me. I have realized that people don't always want your help. Fortunately for me, that is all people asking for on this website. That's why I believe this platform would be great for me.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initially, I prefer to get to know who I am working with. It offers a much better understanding of each other and allows the learning process to be more streamlined. I also prefer to go at whatever pace best suits the student. Whenever I work with a new student, I base their learning regimen around their personality and style. I believe everyone learns most efficiently at different paces.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a sophomore at LSU. I plan to graduate with a degree in management by the year 2025. Following this, I plan to move back to Texas and receive my MBA. I do not have a vast amount of working experience with tutoring. However, I am the oldest brother of 3, and I love my younger brothers more than anything. Having two younger brothers teaches you a lot about being a teacher and a role model, whether you realize it. That type of experience stays with you no matter what stage of life you are in.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Minimum of 1-hour tutoring sessions:
- $25 per hour minimum
- $35 per hour regarding SAT/ACT preparation
- Always willing to negotiate prices
How did you get started teaching?
I don't think teaching is something I started doing at a particular time. In my opinion, I have always been a teacher. I see it as merely two peers working together to achieve a common interest. In terms of this question, however, I have never applied for any tutoring programs. I have always been slightly skeptical of them. After enough research on the subject, though, I think this could be something I am good at.
What types of students have you worked with?
As far as work experience goes, I don't have much with children. However, I have two younger brothers that I can never seem to run out of things to help them with. I am looking forward to working with people of all ages!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My first year of college just recently ended. A family friend of mine and I drove back home together. It is quite a long drive, typically 7-8 hours. It can get boring sitting in a car for that long, so we talk A LOT. I always love the exchange of memories and lessons learned over our semesters at college.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be completely honest with yourself and your teacher. Please get to know your instructor and trust them. Establishing a connection with a teacher makes learning unbelievably more enjoyable.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Whatever questions you've already asked yourself and still cannot seem to come up with an answer to are ones you should be asking your teachers. That is what they are there for!
