I'm a certified K-8 teacher with over 18 years of experience teaching reading, language arts, and special education. Over my career, I've taught in classrooms in both Texas and California, and I've worked with students across the full range of learning styles and needs — from kids who just need some extra practice and confidence, to students with an IEP or 504 who need more individualized support.

Whatever your child's starting point, I meet them exactly where they are. For some students, that means solid, encouraging practice to build reading fluency or catch up on a skill gap. For others, it means a more structured, individualized plan — something I have a lot of experience building, since I've spent years writing and delivering IEP goals for students with a wide range of learning needs. Either way, I don't use a one-size-fits-all approach.

Parents can expect clear, regular updates on how their child is doing, and I'm always happy to adjust my approach based on what's working (or not) at home. My goal isn't just better grades — it's helping students feel more confident and capable, both in the subject we're working on and in themselves.
