About

As a recent graduate of Frisco High School in the top ten (8) of the Class of 2019, I am extremely well-equipped to help students in middle and high school, specifically in areas of STEM and English. I excelled at my academics, performing in the top 1% on the SAT (1560) and being nominated as a National Merit Finalist. I have extensive experience with tutoring at my local high school and Mathematics Honor Society, working with kids at all ages to guide them along their academic journey. Entering my sophomore year at Baylor University, I aim to continue my studies in biochemistry and business administration, with a pre-medical goal. I love working with kids and teenagers of all ages, hoping to provide a different perspective for all ranges of academics. I believe I can learn equally as much from my students, as the academic issues that they may come in with encourages me to pursue constant innovation and research. As I plan on working with kids and adults in the future, I pride myself on interpersonal communication and believe that, contrary to other tutoring agencies, I have the opportunity to develop meaningful academic and personal relationships with each student. Tutoring is an extremely rewarding experience and I hope to provide an exemplary educational environment for each and every one of my students.

Frequently asked questions

I first begin by getting to know the student's background with education, understanding how they approach new material, their note-taking strategies, and any experiences that changed their perspective on education. While I ultimately hope for their success, I also hope that a student can come to me with any issues from their academics without fear of judgement. Thus, I want to establish this relationship from the beginning, applying a confidence in oneself towards their own education.

I have tutored with student organizations on my high school campus extensively, in mathematics, science and english. My success in secondary and undergraduate education, along with the wide range of courses I have taken, speaks to my ability to handle difficult courses and excel. I worked with a variety of  teachers throughout my time in secondary school to hone in on my skills, adapting to different subjects and learning tactics to excel (in standardized testing as well as traditional education).

I believe in forming a relationship with a student; I therefore am willing to discuss a price that is contingent upon services and the quality of learning. However, I'd also like to offer a free online visit for any lesson, void of any commitment to me or future lessons.

I originally saw teaching as a way to reinforce material that I was learning in school. However, as I grew older, I saw tutoring as a rewarding way for me to work with other students. I traditionally felt that the ways and lessons taught by teachers aren't contingent upon each student's own learning environment and needs. My goal is to supplement each student's own learning in the classroom with advice, repetition and study techniques.
