Josh Ni

I graduated from Rice University (3.97 GPA) with a major in Kinesiology and am attending UT Long School of Medicine— I especially enjoyed my chemistry/organic chemistry/biochem courses, where I scored at the top of the class. I have a passion for helping students understand the fundamental concepts that will lead to better understanding of their course content. My main subjects are HS/AP Chemistry, SAT Tutoring, College Essay Tutoring, and College Application Mentorship.

I scored a 1570 on the SAT (99th percentile), a 516 on the MCAT (92nd percentile), and have also scored a 5 on multiple AP tests (AP Biology, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Language, AP Literature, and more).

I have spent the past 4 years editing college applications/essays for high school graduates who have gone on to attend prestigious schools throughout the country (Harvard, Duke, Rice, TAMU Medical School, UT Austin, SMU, TAMU, UTD).

I have experience as a college physiology TA, where I created a class session still utilized by the Rice University Kinesiology Department. I have tutored middle school and high school students for over 4 years in SAT, college applications, and college essays, and have also led college prep sessions in the past 4 years. I also have experience tutoring refugee students in the Dallas and Houston Area.
