Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to know what topics need to be covered and how the curriculum will structured. Usually covering school topics and using websites like khan academy and textbooks for additional practice is very helpful.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was part of a tutoring club at my highschool to work with peers and have gotten tutored myself in the past. This helps me understand what I want from a tutor and how to be a better teacher.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Depending on the level of difficulty and how rigourous the tutoring is price can vary. A base price is usally 13 dollars but up for negotiation for special circumstances.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should come with problems that they don't understand and ask specific questions so a tutor knows what part of a topic they are needing help in.
