About
Hello! My name is Jason. I graduated from Tarleton State University with a MA History. I am Texas certified to teach 6-12 Social Studies, and I have over 20 years of classroom experience teaching Texas History, American History, World History, World Geography, AP Human Geography, and Government/Economics. I am qualified to tutor any course listed above, including AP US History and AP World History.
Teaching social studies is my passion and I find great satisfaction in helping students reach their potential. My goal is to inspire every student that I interact with. I believe that every student can learn, and I make it my mission to guide, mentor, and support them in building the necessary critical reading, writing, and thinking skills.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My undergraduate coursework included a healthy mix of European and American History, and substantial credit hours in geography, political science, and economics. At the graduate level, I equally divided course work between American and British socail and political history. I have taught all secondary social studies courses from grades 6-12. I participated in the 2007 NCTA Study Tour to Korea and China where I focused on East Asian geography, cultural studies, and politcal history.

In my 20 years of classroom experience, I have worked with a very diverse group of students with a very diverse range of learning styles.
