About
Hello! My name is Joy, and I'm a junior at Yale University studying Neuroscience and Education. I've been tutoring and teaching for the past 5+ years and enjoy working with students of all ages and levels. I have experience teaching elementary, middle school, high school, and college students and have taught a variety of subjects, including SAT/ACT prep, college essay writing, college admissions consulting, math, science, English, Korean, and more.
I am a Scholar in the Yale Education Studies program, and I have extensive experience working with students. I was also a team leader for the nation's largest pre-service teaching training program.
My specialty is college admissions consulting, SAT/ACT prep, and math. I've been an SAT tutor for three years and also have experience working for a private SAT prep company. In addition, it hasn't been very long since I've taken the SAT test myself, so I'm very familiar with the questions and testing strategies. I myself scored in the 99 percentile when I took the SAT in high school and received a perfect score (800/800) in the math section.
I want to get to know you and help you in any way I can so that you can succeed and fulfill your goals. We'll be a team, and I will help you every step of the way. If there is anything I can help you with to alleviate your stress in schoolwork or academics, please let me know. I'm happy to help!
My experience working with students has allowed me to understand the learning methods that work best for them. I will do my best to ensure a phenomenal learning experience for you!
