About
I am a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, with majors in Communication & Leadership, African & African Diaspora Studies, and Plan II Honors, with a minor in English. I am currently a Donovan Urban Teaching Scholar at Boston College, where I will be receiving teaching licensure. I am a published writer and have worked as a Breakthrough Teaching Fellow (7th grade English) and Creative Action Teaching Artist (K-5) in Austin, TX. I have also held positions as a peer mentor, teaching assistant, college application advisor, and reading buddy. I enjoy working with students of all ages to better understand language and literature, the college application process, and exploring their creative power! I want to make sure I best understand a student’s individual goals and can best help them feel confident and excited about learning.
