Hello, my name is Jenny Sohn, and I have been in the tutoring field for 2+ years now! Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and math has always been a subject I enjoyed conquering at school. I work during and after tutoring hours to provide the most efficient lessons, as each individual needs a unique approach to achieve the best results.
I appreciate witnessing the progress of each of my students, and I believe patience is the key to the fastest growth. A safe, comfortable atmosphere leads to more of the “aha!” moments I love.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first begin by consulting with the student/parent over basic information, areas of struggle, etc.. During the first meeting, I spend time introducing myself and getting to know the student. Afterwards I hope to get straight into the learning and analyzing the ideas or concepts the student is struggling to understand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently am a senior in high school and have tutored for around 2 years. SAT Score: 1560. I have maintained a rigourous high school schedule and am currently in AP English Literature and Composition and AP Calculus BC. career.

I've worked with K-12 students. Some simply struggle with one concept, while others deeply struggle with the class. I've helped students improve their failing grades to As.
