As a kindergarten teach I have seen many students come in at a disadvantage and it makes the rest of their academic career more difficult for them. Kindergarten is not the same as it was when we were kids. Students are expected to come in with extensive alphabet and numerical knowledge, as well as learning-related behavior habits. I can help make the transition into formal school, into kindergarten or first grade a smooth one. I am also trained to help struggling readers find success.

I have an Early Childhood-6th grade Teacher's Certification along with 7 years of experience in elementary schools. I am also certified as an English as a Second Language teacher and have earned my certificate in the Science of Teaching Reading. I have helped over a hundred students master skills to be successful readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, citizens, historians and friends.

I am incredibly passionate about education and literacy. I feel honored at each opportunity I have to guide a child along their educational journey.
