I love teaching students and helping them achieve their goals! I know how stressful and intense testing environments can be, and it is my passion helping students excel in their classes and on their tests. I tutored younger grades and some of my peers during my four years at my highschool BASIS Ahwatukee, and am very familiar with a variety of AP courses I took as part of the curriculum, including AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP World History, AP European History, AP American History, AP Biology, AP Human Geography, AP U.S. Governments and Politics, and AP Chinese Language and Culture, as well as the HSK Chinese Proficiency Test used by Chinese companies and universities to determine an applicant's level of Mandarin Chinese fluency. I can teach math courses up until Pre-Calculus and am confident in my ability to relay knowledge and understanding to my students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first establish what concepts specifically my student is struggling with, and from that I review the essential fundamentals to understanding those concepts with my student. I always start with that core understanding first, since like a pyramid, the more advanced concepts you explore the more essential knowledge is required to reach greater heights.
I then explore different problems and questions on tests, homework, and classwork with my students to gauge the ability and knowledge they already have, and what they can improve on. My favorite moment is when they've been struggling to solve a problem for a while, but then it "clicks" in their minds and they can then complete it on their own. To reach that point I go over questions with them and I show the steps needed to get the answer, before asking them to complete a similar problem on their own. I go over what they don't understand or struggle with, and give strategies and advice to overcome these challenges.
My students always leave with more confidence in not just their coursework, but also their ability to learn and understand generally. For some it's a passion that never goes away.
