About
As a current Master of Arts in History candidate, I am most proficient in history and political science. However, literature, English, and writing are still relevant and fresh in my mind. I spent my undergraduate years teaching ages 2 months through 5 years. While attending graduate school, I work as a teaching assistant. Part of my job as a university TA requires me to lead study and review sessions of up to forty students, in addition to one-on-one teaching during my office hours. When teaching I often attempt to relate current trends with the subjects being discussed. I believe it helps students not only fully understand the subject matter but also fosters a deeper enthusiasm for learning. Additionally, when working one-on-one or with smaller groups I prefer to lean into Socratic seminar-style teaching. I believe the open discussion allows all students to be and feel heard in their learning journey and ensures active participation.
